January at Mums In Need

Volunteer anniversaries and how to get involved

Darcy Fowler. 30th January 2022.

January has seen several anniversaries for members of our team. It is the 2nd anniversary of our fundraising volunteer Kathy. Our counsellor Heidi has been with us since 2018, and Penny has volunteered with Mums In Need for 7 years! Thank you so much for all your work, time and support over the years; we couldn’t do what we do without you!

We also want to welcome Eve, our new MIN tin coordinator, to the team. If you want to read more about Eve, or the rest of our team, head to our website. You can support Mums In Need by having one of our MIN tins. If you or anyone you know would be interested in a MIN tin, please contact mintins@mumsinneed.com.

We also got settled into our new office this month. If your business would like to support us in providing office furniture or storage, please get in touch.

We want to say a big thank you to John Lewis and Partners for gifting our mums and their children vouchers at Christmas. Also, a big thank you to all businesses who have made donations to our crowdfunder, such as the Hope Valley business Zoo - so far, we have raised £7000. All pledges are match-funded by the government, and our crowdfunder remains live until the 6th of February.

We have held some great events for our MINs this month, including the Better Minds session on 25th January and a legal Q&A on the 18th of January. We also have some upcoming events in February for our MINs: a space to breathe session on the 8th.

We will also be at the Doncaster racecourse on the 3rd of February from 10am-4pm. Doncaster racecourse is the perfect place to make new contacts, create business opportunities and network - entry is free!

Mums In Need love working with companies to raise awareness and help support more women and children than ever before. You can help and engage so many ways by emailing us at enquiries@mumsinneed.com. We are also always looking for more equipment for our recycling project, which you can read more about here

Finally, we are delighted to have been featured in The Star this weekend. The article can be viewed here .
