Mums In Need (MIN) is a specialist Sheffield-based charity that provides dedicated support to mothers experiencing post-separation abuse, including coercive control, emotional abuse, and the ongoing trauma of domestic abuse and coercive control after leaving a relationship. We are committed to the highest standards of safeguarding vulnerable women and children, ensuring that every mum we support receives safe, confidential, and trauma-informed care. Our strong focus on financial governance and sustainable charity operations ensures we can continue delivering vital services to families in crisis for the long term.
Mums In Need has a duty to ensure that it has arrangements in place to safeguard at risk adults, young people and children against any risk of harm or abuse and to promote their welfare.

Mums In Need needs to secure its viability beyond the immediate future. To be able to provide reliable services over the longer term, it must be able to absorb setbacks and to take advantage of change and opportunity. MIN accounts for this by putting aside some of its unrestricted income as a reserve against future uncertainties.
