Post-separation abuse is a hidden and insidious form of domestic violence that often leaves survivors isolated and without support.

This devastating pattern of control and coercion can continue long after a relationship ends, with mums particularly vulnerable to escalating abuse tactics such as harassment, stalking, intimidation, financial abuse, emotional manipulation, and threats of violence against them or their children.

Mums In Need is a unique charity that supports local mums in Sheffield and the surrounding areas who have left abusive relationships. Our services include 1:1 caseworker support, legal advice, counselling, wellbeing sessions, and peer support.

We provide life changing support that empowers mums to build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Like many other support services, MIN is facing a critical funding shortage. Our caseload of mums seeking vital support services is soaring, and we urgently need to raise £30,000 to keep our doors open for the next year and continue helping those in need.
