Summer sale and sessions with Haven

Happy August everyone! 

Congratulations to all the students who received their A-level grades recently - it has been an incredibly difficult year and with everyone under so much pressure and stress, you’ve all done brilliantly! Wish you all the best for your future plans from everyone here at MIN! 

This month we were delighted to be featured in the August edition of the Community Scheme’s Sheffield magazine! This is a brilliant organisation that helps raise funds for children’s sports club allowing them to further continue doing what they love. We also had an amazing day at the Mums In Need summer sale which we held on the 17th of July. Thank you to everyone who donated, came to see us and bought raffle tickets as we managed to raise an incredible £558.58 all of which will go towards helping our mums and enabling us to continue doing what we do.

We will also be running some sessions with HAVEN - they provide support and specialist services for children and young people affected from domestic abuse. They will be running two sessions on the 14th of August for 5-10 year olds and 11-16 year olds. This is just an example of what we provide and we hope this will help get some of our young people who are with us back up on their feet.

This year also marks the 5 year anniversary of our longest standing trustee - Antony. He has been there from the very beginning, helping Laura to set up MIN and we wouldn’t be where we are right now without all of his support! A big thank you to him!
