Annie's Pet Sitting BIG Adventure: Pet Sit #12

Indy and Merry were my feline companions 😻 😻 for Pet Sit #12. Both were local adoptees, having fallen the right way up on their four paws with their adoring owners. This was the first time that this duo has been entrusted to a live-in pet sitter (namely me), so I was privileged to have them in my care.
Indy, the black one, was the more forward of the two, making sure that he was first in the queue for anything that was going, be that food or cuddles 🤗 .
Merry was more nervous and was so anxious that she had an upset tummy 🤮 on Day 1. She spent the first few days avoiding me, having a planned exit route as she shot past me at the speed of light should our paths happen to cross.
As time passed, Merry gained in confidence, first circling round me when I was sitting at the desk. Next, she hopped up close to me on the arm of the sofa 💺 , eventually wending her way back and forth across my lap. Given time, I’m sure she would have eventually sat on my lap.
With a local bruiser cat patrolling the neighbourhood, Indy and Merry’s safety was a priority. Their cat flap could be locked meaning that, once they were in for the night, there were no comings and goings. The lockable cat flap came in handy when Mr Bruiser peered in. I heard a major kerfuffle in the cat flap zone with lots of loud yowling 🙀 . Although there were some funky, punky fur styles with fur standing up on end, no damage was done as the cat flap had stayed firmly closed 👏 !
💜 A massive thank you to Indy and Merry’s owners for being happy to include them in Annie’s BIG Pet Sitting Adventure.
