Pip, Hazel and Sweetpea are the classic three sibling unit:

🐈 Pip (cat, aged 6) the older, (mostly) sensible big sister

🐶 Hazel (dog, aged 1 and a little bit) – the middle one – confident, sweet natured, fun to hang out with

😻 Sweetpea (kitten, under a year) – the baby, cuteness personified and annoying kid sister, playful is her middle name.

This sit was all about the 📹 in-house entertainment provided by my fellow furry house mates. I had my own personal 📺 livestream of nonstop pet antics and camaraderie to tune into.

It’s my pleasure to recount some of the highlights from their repertoire which meant that not once did I feel the urge to reach for the remote control!

Sweetpea is a one kitty entertainment show, topped off with her teensy size, huge saucer eyes and an outsize purr. From exploring shopping bags, assisting with some urgent typing to using the woven back of a chair as a climbing frame, she was always up to something.

Her partner-in-crime is Hazel, the sweetest doggy who snuggles up to you like a baby with a head that you just can’t help but plant kisses on! Hazel and Sweetpea are inseparable, either relaxing together or rolling around play fighting. Sweetpea always looks a little perturbed when Hazel goes out for walks without her – it’s beyond her comprehension as to why she can’t come too. She provides her own meet-and-greet service, alternately rushing to the front door to welcome us home when we return from our walk, to checking out the back door to say ‘hi’ to big sis, Pip, when she comes through the cat flap.

Hazel is a delight too. When getting ready for a walk, she has to step into her harness. However, she’s developed her own approach to this, sitting up on her hind legs with her front paws out like a 🦘kangaroo ready to have it put on. She has a one way ticket with the cat flap, able to go out, but never able to come back in again.

Pip is more independent, coming and going at her leisure. She insists on ‘fresh’ dry food and won’t touch it unless she sees it being poured out of the container. The morning’s leftovers simply won’t do.

Pip goes off and does her own thing, with Sweetpea often right there at her coat tails. Calmly sitting on a stool and washing herself, Sweetpea will be bobbing up and down below, receiving the occasional swipe from Pip. Pip liked to check up on me, peering in at the velux window and making me jump every time.

💜 Thank you to the 😍 wonderful owners for being happy to feature your delightful pets.
