Raising Awareness For Mums Facing Post-Separation Abuse & Coercive Control
Our CEO, Laura Riley, and Chair of Trustees, Heather, recently represented Mums In Need (MIN) at a meaningful event hosted by Soroptimist Sheffield at Tapton School. This important gathering offered an excellent opportunity to highlight the vital support MIN provides to mums facing post-separation abuse.
At the event, Laura and Heather shared insights into the challenges women endure after leaving abusive relationships, emphasising the urgent need for specialised support services. The event helped raise community awareness about post-separation abuse, coercive control, and domestic violence, and how Mums In Need is working to empower women and their families on their journey to safety and recovery.
A big thanks to Soroptimist Sheffield for their warm hospitality and ongoing support in helping us champion the cause of vulnerable women affected by abuse.
