Rotherham United Community Trust (RUCT) is the charitable arm of Rotherham United Football Club. They work to unite, empower and strengthen communities, reduce inequalities and create opportunities for local people.
Working across the borough, RUCT designs and delivers inclusive programmes shaped by local needs and aspirations. Their work extends beyond sport, with a focus on four key themes:
Community Cohesion & Inclusion
Health & Wellbeing
Education & Economy
Children & Young People
Mums In Need was proud to have previously partnered with Rotherham United Community Trust, working together to raise awareness of post-separation abuse and support mums and children affected by it.
During our partnership, RUCT provided valuable opportunities to raise awareness and funds, including digital exposure, a feature in the matchday programme, a presence at a themed home fixture, a signed Rotherham United shirt for fundraising, and collaboration on a bespoke fundraising event.
The partnership also included the RUCT 100 Mile Challenge, which raised vital funds for Mums In Need while helping to support wider community initiatives aimed at educating young people and challenging harmful behaviours.
Although our formal partnership has now come to an end, we are delighted to remain in contact with RUCT and continue to benefit from their support. Rotherham United continue to offer opportunities for Mums In Need at local matchdays, helping us to raise awareness of post-separation abuse and reach more people within the local community.
Mums In Need is incredibly grateful to Rotherham United Community Trust for their past partnership and continued support. We value the relationship we have built and look forward to continuing to work together where opportunities arise.
