Raising Awareness For Mums Facing Post-Separation Abuse & Coercive Control
Mums In Need (MIN), a charity dedicated to supporting women facing post-separation abuse, was proud to take part in the Wool Monty Exhibition held at Magna Science Museum on June 8th and 9th, 2024. This important community event offered a valuable platform to raise awareness of our mission and connect with local supporters.
A big thank you goes to our committed team of volunteers who staffed our stall throughout the event: Laura Riley (CEO), Olivia (Administrator), Janet (Trustee), Heather (Chair of Trustees), Kathy (Trustee), and Daphne, a MIN supporter from Soroptimist Sheffield.
We are also extremely grateful to The Wool Monty organisers for inviting Mums In Need to participate and for creating such an impactful opportunity to engage with the community.
Thanks to the generosity of visitors to our stall, we raised a fantastic £359.24. Even more exciting, The Wool Monty generously matched this amount, bringing the total fundraising to an impressive £718.48! These funds will directly support vital services for women recovering from post-separation abuse and coercive control.
Stay connected with Mums In Need for more updates on upcoming events and how you can support women on their journey to safety and healing.
