In August 2025, Josephine, Ambassador for Mums In Need (MIN), met with the team at Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) to discuss MIN’s vital support services for mums experiencing post-separation abuse and to explore opportunities for future collaboration.
Voluntary Action Rotherham is a leading organisation dedicated to supporting, developing, and promoting voluntary and community services across Rotherham. Their work strengthens the local voluntary sector and ensures that families in need have access to critical support services.
During the meeting, both organisations discussed strategies to extend outreach and improve support for women and families affected by post-separation abuse in South Yorkshire. This collaboration aims to ensure that more mums have access to essential services, guidance, and community networks at a time when support is crucial.
Mums In Need is committed to empowering women, providing practical assistance, and advocating for those affected by post-separation abuse. By working closely with VAR, MIN aims to expand its reach and impact, helping even more women and families navigate the challenges they face during and after separation.
This partnership reinforces the shared goal of both organisations: to create stronger, safer, and more supportive communities for mums and families across South Yorkshire.
