On 25th June 2026, we were incredibly proud to launch VOICES, a powerful and thought-provoking film created by Mums In Need to raise awareness of post-separation abuse and coercive control.
Inspired by the experiences of six mothers affected by post-separation abuse, VOICES brings their stories to life through the performances of three actors, giving voice to the realities that so many survivors continue to face after leaving an abusive relationship.
For many survivors of domestic abuse, separation is not the end of the abuse. Instead, coercive control can continue through the family courts, child arrangements, financial abuse, harassment, and other forms of post-separation abuse that can have a lasting impact on both mothers and their children.
VOICES shines a light on this often-overlooked reality, helping to raise awareness of the ways abuse can continue long after a relationship has ended. By sharing these experiences, we hope to challenge misconceptions, encourage understanding, and ensure that more survivors feel seen, heard, and believed.
The launch of VOICES marked an important milestone for Mums In Need and our mission to support mothers facing post-separation abuse. We were honoured to welcome supporters, professionals, and members of our community to the launch as we came together to amplify survivors' voices and spark conversations about an issue that deserves far greater recognition.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us on the evening and helped make the launch such a success. Your support enables us to continue raising awareness of post-separation abuse, supporting mothers, and campaigning for change.
If you weren't able to attend the premiere, don't worry, we'll be sharing details soon about how you can watch VOICES and become part of this important conversation.
