Raising Awareness For Mums Facing Post-Separation Abuse & Coercive Control

In March 2026, our CEO Laura Riley was honoured to attend the University of Sheffield Community Thank You Event, which celebrates and thanks organisations that hosted student internship placements at the end of 2025.

The students contributed across a range of tasks, including research, media and marketing, and administrative support. Their contributions are always invaluable to Mums In Need, and we are proud to have hosted students for six consecutive years.

Laura is pictured with Joanne Thompson, who organises the student placements and ensures that each student is matched to the right organisation.

The event also provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with other charities and organisations, share best practices, and showcase the work we do at Mums In Need.
