Our wonderful Ambassador, Beverley, recently represented Mums In Need (MIN) at the Hereford conference, “Tackling the Crisis in Children’s Social Care.”
Beverley was invited as a guest speaker and shared her insights on how mothers are often unfairly blamed in family courts, highlighting the challenges women face when navigating post-separation abuse and coercive control.
She also spoke about “Write To Be Heard”, a powerful new book titled Write To Be Heard: Voices of Survivors of Coercive Control and Post-Separation Abuse. This project was created to give survivors a voice and raise awareness about the realities of coercive control and post-separation abuse.
Write To Be Heard began as a series of therapeutic writing workshops for women supported by Mums In Need. The result is a deeply moving collection of anonymous poems and prose that speak of pain, survival, and, above all, hope.
All proceeds from the book go directly to Mums In Need, helping us continue to provide practical, emotional, and legal support to mothers experiencing post-separation abuse. You can purchase the book here.
Thank you, Beverley, for attending this important event on behalf of Mums In Need and helping raise awareness of such a hidden and often misunderstood form of abuse.
