Mums In Need was proud to exhibit at the South Yorkshire Business Expo on 9 June 2026, providing a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of post-separation abuse and connect with businesses, organisations, and community leaders from across the region.
Representing the charity at the event were our CEO, Laura, and Ambassador, Miranda, who spent the day speaking with attendees about the realities of post-separation abuse and the support Mums In Need provides to mothers navigating its impact.
The event was a fantastic success, enabling us to engage with both new and existing supporters, build meaningful connections, and share information about the challenges faced by mums experiencing coercive control and abuse after separation.
As a Sheffield-based charity supporting mums facing post-separation abuse, opportunities like the South Yorkshire Business Expo are invaluable. They help us increase awareness of an often misunderstood form of abuse, strengthen relationships within the local business community, and encourage more people to support our work.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, took the time to learn more about our mission, and expressed an interest in supporting Mums In Need. Every conversation helps us reach more women who may be experiencing post-separation abuse and reinforces the importance of raising awareness of coercive control and its long-term effects.
