Raising Awareness For Mums Facing Post-Separation Abuse & Coercive Control

On September 28, 2024, Soroptimist International hosted a fantastic Big Band Fundraising Event in support of Mums In Need, a charity dedicated to empowering women affected by post-separation abuse and coercive control. Our committed ambassadors, Tilika and Demelza, proudly represented MIN, sharing our mission and raising awareness about the vital support we provide.

Guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening filled with live music, socialising, and an exciting raffle. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and organisers, the event raised an impressive £505 to directly fund MIN’s services for women experiencing domestic abuse and coercive control after separation.

This donation will enable Mums In Need to offer six mums three personalised one-to-one casework sessions with a dedicated caseworker, providing essential guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance for women navigating the complexities of abuse recovery.
