Raising Awareness For Mums Facing Post-Separation Abuse & Coercive Control

On 19th June 2025, our inspiring Ambassador Josephine proudly represented Mums In Need (MIN) at a Wellness Event hosted at Rotherham United Football Ground. This community driven event brought together local professionals, health and wellbeing advocates, charities, and community leaders from across South Yorkshire to connect, share knowledge, and promote wellbeing initiatives across the region.

The event provided a valuable platform for Mums In Need to raise awareness about post-separation abuse and the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges faced by women after leaving abusive relationships.

Wearing her MIN t-shirt with pride, Josephine engaged with attendees, sharing our mission to support women through coercive control, emotional abuse, and the aftermath of separation. She spoke about the long-term, personalised support we offer, helping women regain confidence, build independence, and start their journey toward recovery.

We are incredibly thankful for opportunities like this to amplify our message, build relationships with like minded organisations, and connect with new communities. These events are key to helping us reach more women who need our support and to ensure that the issue of post-separation abuse and coercive control remains part of the wider conversation around mental health and wellbeing.
