Raising Awareness For Mums Facing Post-Separation Abuse & Coercive Control

To mark International Women’s Day 2025, Mums In Need (MIN) CEO Laura Riley was honoured to attend a special event hosted by Love Bizz Networking in Kegworth, UK on 7th March 2025. The event brought together inspiring women from across different sectors to celebrate female empowerment, business leadership, and the importance of supporting women through life’s most challenging moments.

Laura had the incredible opportunity to speak about the mission of Mums In Need, a UK charity providing specialist, trauma-informed support for women experiencing post-separation abuse, including coercive control and emotional abuse. She shared insights into the ongoing challenges faced by mums after leaving abusive relationships and explained how our services, ranging from one-to-one counselling to legal signposting, make a real, lasting impact.

The day was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and a powerful sense of solidarity. It served as a vital reminder of the importance of standing with women navigating difficult circumstances.
