In February, Mums In Need was proud to take part in the Festival of Women event at Sharrow School. Our CEO, Laura Riley, alongside Ambassador Miranda and Volunteer Hannah, hosted a stall among a wide range of local organisations, all working together to support women and raise awareness of vital community causes.
The event created a powerful space for collaboration, connection, and shared purpose. It was an important opportunity for Mums In Need to raise awareness of our mission to support mums facing post-separation abuse, and to connect with families and professionals across the local community.
It was also a valuable chance for us to share our urgent fundraising campaign to raise £12,500 to help keep our doors open, ensuring we can continue providing life-changing support to mums who need us most.
We raised much-needed funds through the sale of our Write to Be Heard books, with all proceeds directly supporting our work to amplify mums’ voices and ensure they are heard and believed.
We were especially honoured to meet Abtisam Mohammed, MP for Sheffield, and to speak about the impact of post-separation abuse and the critical support Mums In Need provides.
