Crosspool Women’s Institute

On 16th June 2025, our CEO Laura Riley was honoured to speak at the Crosspool Women’s Institute to share more about the vital work we do at Mums In Need and our mission to support women facing post-separation abuse.

Laura had a fantastic time connecting with the group, discussing the often, overlooked challenges of life after an abusive relationship, and highlighting how specialist, long-term support can make a real difference.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Crosspool WI for their warmth, enthusiasm, and generosity. They kindly arranged a bucket collection, raising an impressive £144.77. This donation will fund one-to-one counselling sessions with a trauma-informed therapist for two mums, helping them begin the journey of healing from the lasting impact of abuse.
