Raising Awareness For Mums Facing Post-Separation Abuse & Coercive Control

On June 22nd, 2025, Laura Riley (CEO of Mums In Need) and Olivia (MIN Administrator) were honoured to attend a fantastic charity sample sale event hosted by the incredible team at One Hundred Stars, in celebration of their 10 year anniversary. This special event took place in Sheffield and brought together the local community in support of several South Yorkshire charities.

As part of their milestone celebrations, One Hundred Stars generously invited a range of local Sheffield-based charities to participate, donating 100% of the event proceeds to these meaningful causes. We were grateful that Mums In Need, was among those selected for support, to represent mums facing post-separation abuse.

The day was a resounding success, with a fantastic turnout, a buzzing atmosphere, and a community driven energy that filled the venue. Shoppers were excited to explore and purchase One Hundred Stars’ beautifully crafted fashion and lifestyle pieces, all while supporting important local charities doing vital work in the region.

Our team was proud to be there, speaking with attendees about the mission of Mums In Need, to raise awareness of post-separation coercive control, emotional abuse, and the challenges women face after leaving abusive relationships. 

Events like this allow us to amplify our message, connect with new supporters, and share how our trauma-informed, long-term support helps women rebuild their confidence, independence, and safety.
