Why not help us to make a difference?

Here at Mums In Need, we aim to do everything we can for the women who reach out to us. With your companies help, we can do and achieve more than we ever have before as we utilise each other's skills and assets to mutually benefit one another.

ALL HANDS ON TECH

Senior Executives from Pure Cars and Key Group have joined forces in aid of charity. Wakefield based Pure Cars and Ossett based Key Group are to donate up to 50 laptops and 10 tablets to Sheffield Charity, Mums In Need. The charity, was established in 2014 by Laura Riley to support mums and children who have been affected by abusive relationships.

Allan Otley, Managing Director of Wakefield’s prestige car dealership Pure Cars said: ‘When we heard the charity was in search of new tech we jumped at the chance of supporting Mums in Need. Since we established Pure Cars we have helped a number of charities over the years and it’s brilliant to see our donations making an impact in the region.

Steve Saddler, Managing Director of Ossett firm Key Group said: ‘We’ve been working with Pure Cars for a number of years and when Allan mentioned it to us, we instantly wanted to help. I hope the laptops and tablets help the charity to support more mums and children in the coming months ahead.’

The much needed donations will support the work of the charity, allowing them to provide technology that can be used by volunteers and support learning and development for the mums and children.

Chief Executive Laura Riley said: ‘We are overwhelmed with the support shown by Pure Cars and Key Group and we are looking forward to helping more families in the months ahead. The generosity of the two Wakefield companies is nothing more than amazing and I can’t wait to see the laptops and tablets in use by our clients.’

Fundraising ideas

Why not gather groups of your co-workers challenge them to a quiz? Get in contact with local pubs or halls in your area and see if they will allow you to host a quiz free of charge! Nothing gets people together quite like some good old fashioned competition to see who's the cleverest.

Which department will win?

Bake Sales are a brilliant (and delicious) way to raise funds for our charity! Why not try out that Bake Off Showstopper you watched Paul Hollywood give a handshake for, or see if you can perfect your Grandma's Victoria Sponge recipe?

No one can be held responsible for what happens after a few drinks so, why not charge your friends and co-workers £1 a song and make them sing for charity! Might even find some hidden superstars in your mix!

Entering a fun or obstacle mud run could be a great way to build up your fitness and team-building while making some money for a great cause. Why not see if any local events are happening and get the team together.
