Pop Up Sarni Poetry Night

Summer sale at Sheffield Workstation

By Shreya Agrawal on 12th July 2021.

Another month here at MIN and another month closer to lockdown ending! We have seen a member of the social media team visiting the office every week and we are so excited to host our in-person summer sale at the Sheffield Showroom workstation; come join us for face painting, a raffle (see below for details), games and some great music!

The link to the raffle is MIN Summer Raffle - tickets are £1 and all proceeds will go to MIN. Prizes include an amazing afternoon tea voucher for two at a quaint Chapeltown bakery as well as a stylish wash bag full of men’s grooming products from Dapper Dan in Kelham Island, with other prizes as well!

We’ve also launched a brand new youtube channel! We will be posting on it regularly with up to date videos about what’s been happening here at Mums In Need so please check it out and subscribe! MIN YouTube Channel

Mums in Need was also lucky enough to once again be featured in the Yorkshire Information Point magazine in Issue 8 page. This is great exposure for MIN and we are really grateful to them for including us as it allows us to reach more people, and educate them on what coercive control looks like as well as what we are getting up to, and how they can get involved. If you would like to have a read please see page 7 at: Yorkshire Information Point

Finally, we had our first Pop up Sarni Poetry night on the 5th of July where our CEO Laura did a speech about the importance of Mums in Need and the work they do. She was able to advertise MIN, including MIN social media and our 100 club which has led to us having far more outreach than ever before! It also allowed us to carry out some fundraising, and we hope to do this every two weeks from now on.
